We want Jobhoppers to be safe on every site they visit. Safety is the responsibility of the Jobhop Provider. An induction should be carried out when the Hopper arrives for work so that they are aware of any safety risks and how to stay safe.  Click here for an induction checklist if you don’t have your own.

We advise Jobhoppers that if they encounter an unsafe situation while doing a job, they should tell the you immediately.  They have the right to stop work in unsafe situations, as they do in any work environment.

The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 is legislation that governs safety in work environments. The primary message is that everyone is entitled to work in environments where the risks to their health and safety are properly controlled.

If you do not have a Health and Safety Policy or a Health and Safety Representative, please ensure that you are aware of your requirements as a business with regard to safety in the workplace. Make sure that you also review the regulations on the WorkSafe website.

Please read the introduction letter to Health and Safety Obligations to ensure you understand your obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
